The Jeep Renegade and Fiat Toro (Flex versions) have always been heavily criticized for their performance, having weak engines for the weight of the vehicles, creating a weight-to-power ratio that is normally only found in basic popular vehicles. With this, we have been working for over 01 (one) year with our engineers in Europe to release the electronic injection reprogramming for these models, which, as of today, is available in all STRIKE BRASIL® franchises and authorized applicators throughout the country.
Furthermore, we have more news: by sharing the same ECU with the Renegade and Toro (Marelli 10GF), we also released reprogramming for Fiat Argo/Cronos and as a bonus, for the Fiat Mobi 1.0L (which does not share the same ECU)
DEVELOPMENT OF ELECTRONIC INJECTION SOFTWARE (MAPA)
In recent days we have worked hard to develop communication protocols for these models (WITH THE BEST POSSIBLE GAINS, WITHIN SAFETY LIMITS) given that the demand for such services is increasing, proving that the vast majority of owners are not happy with the original performance of the vehicle.
JEEP RENEGADE
The Jeep Renegade is a sports utility vehicle that, we can say, has a dual proposal: the diesel version with an off-road focus (which we have had electronic injection reprogramming available for a long time) and the flex version with a 1.8L E.torQ engine and focus on urban use. Everything would be wonderful if it weren't for the engine used in the flex version, the 1.8L E.torQ which, in this case, needs (A LOT) more performance.
This engine was originally developed in partnership with Chrysler and BMW, but had never been used in Brazil. Fiat bought it and turned it into the E.torQ.
In lighter vehicles, the performance leaves nothing to be desired, but in the Renegade it was not pleasing at all. For restarts, the speed must be very high and on steep climbs or in a mountain range, it is necessary to reduce gears well.
FIAT TORO
Also using the same 1.8L E.torQ engine (135/139 hp at 5.750 rpm and 18,8/19,3 kgfm at 3.750 rpm, respectively with gasoline and ethanol) the Fiat Toro is another model that suffers “Bullying” due to the lack of performance.
In relation to the Renegade, there was a small improvement, but it still disappoints the vast majority of customers and continues to have the same problems: it requires higher revs to drive quickly and restarts are compromised by the low engine strength, also suffering on steep terrain.
THE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEMS
With the release of our reprogramming We improved the main flaws of these models: performance, restarts, starts and much more safety when overtaking.
We are the first company in the industry to release protocols for these models, proving once again our pioneering spirit and commitment to the customer.
