Inaugurating the publications on our page, we would like to touch on a topic that disturbs us a lot in the daily life of the automotive world, and already disturbed us before STRIKE BRASIL came into being: the delay in new automotive products arriving in our country. What do we mean by this? Let's go.
The matrix of STRIKE BRASIL was located for a long time -until recently when we transferred the Franchisor's operations to the State capital-, in the city of Ponta Porã/MS, which borders the neighboring country, Paraguay. For this reason, we have always had this discrepancy in launches that is much more “blatant” than in the rest of Brazil. Examples are almost routine here:
The photo that illustrates this publication was taken at the launch of the new Nissan Frontier in Asunción - in June 2015! For 2 years we have seen the “new” Nissan Frontier being sold and circulating in Paraguay. Not just the “top of the line” LE model - as currently in Brazil - but all versions, from the basic “S”, to the more complete “LE Exclusive”. The launch of the new Frontier in Brazil took place just a few months ago, in April.
outdated launches are not exclusive to just one brand
Another current example of outdated launches is our favorite midsize pickup truck, the volkswagen amarok. Deliveries of the first Amarok V2 began in the neighboring country 6 months ago, while in Brazil VW still has no exact launch date, - although there are already several in the country -.
Still about the Amarok: did you know that there is already a gasoline-powered Amarok -with a 2.0L TSI engine- for sale outside Brazil? Yes! Do you know how long ago? 5 years! There are 5 years in which the Ford, with the Ranger; Chevrolet, with the S10 e Toyota with the Hilux, reign alone in the “flex” segment; and 5 years in which the Brazilian consumer has one fewer purchasing option…
We could continue listing many other examples of outdated launches, but we prefer to leave some for future publications, and end with an appeal to Brazilian automakers: stop leaving the Brazilian consumer in the background! We want us to be given the attention we deserve, after all, not long ago we were the 4th largest car market in the world.
Knowing the Strike Brasil
A Strike Brasil is the biggest reference in automotive performance in Latin America, growing by leaps and bounds every year and with a franchise structure robust to offer each franchisee the exclusive support and service that only STK offers!
Common in the automotive performance world, the reprogramming of the Electronic Injection Center (Remap) allows you to change some parameters of the electronic injection center software, giving more power, torque and drivability to the vehicle.
Despite being commonly used by those who want more power, this improvement in the engine also has a positive impact on trips and daily life in the city. Want to know more about Remap? Then, Understand in this article how it works in practice!
